CAB TILT DOUBLE PILOT OPERATED
CHECK VALVE
Description
The cab tilt double pilot operated (PO) check valve (see
Figure 2-29) is located on the left side of the superstructure
side plate. It is used to hold or lock the cab tilt cylinder in
place. Oil flow is directed from the "V" ports to the "C" ports,
while blocking flow in the opposite direction. Flow is reversed
from "C" to "V" when pressure pilot oil is applied to the
opposite side "V" port.

Removal
CAUTION
Completely lower the cab before disconnecting valve
plumbing.

TMS800E SERVICE MANUAL
1.
Tag and disconnect the hydraulic lines running to the
valve. Cap or plug all openings.
2.
Remove the capscrews and lockwashers securing the
valve to the plate and remove the valve.
Installation
1.
Install the valve to the plate and secure with the
capscrews and lockwashers. Torque the capscrews
refer to Fasteners and Torque Values, page 1-13.
2.
Connect the hydraulic lines to the valve as tagged during
removal.
3.
Operate the applicable function and check the valve for
proper operation and any leaks.
4.
Test the check valve by operating the cab tilt cylinder.
Verify it extends and retracts without problems; verify
there is no leaking. Make repairs as needed.
