Z Stage

The Z stage assembly moves the platen up or down. This is accomplished with
two belt driven lead screws - accessed by removing the upper right and upper left
panels (see
right Z stage assemblies are mounted outside of the oven to keep them away
from heat.

• The platen and build sheet - provide the build surface. Replace the build
sheet every time you build a new part.
• The tip sensor - located on the right side of the platen. It is used to calibrate
the model and support tip in the Z axis when tips are changed.
