The port settings are for a DEC VT100 or ANSI terminal, or an
equivalent terminal emulator program.
4. Press Enter. You are prompted for a user name and password.
5. Enter the default user name and password. They are "manager" and
"friend" (without the quotes), respectively.
Note
User names and passwords are case sensitive.
The local management session starts when the User Exec mode
prompt, shown in Figure 89. is displayed.

The User Exec mode is the first level in the command mode

6. Do one of the following:
To disable VCStack to use the chassis as a stand-alone switch, go
to "Disabling VCStack" on page 129.
Otherwise, go to "Verifying Support for the Ethernet Line Cards" on
page 133.
