5. Configure the VT-100 terminal or terminal emulation program as
follows:
Baud rate: 9600 bps (The baud rate of the Console Port is

adjustable from 9600 to 115200 bps. The default is 9600 bps.)
Data bits: 8

Parity: None

Stop bits: 1

Flow controller: None

Note
The port settings are for a DEC VT100 or ANSI terminal, or an
equivalent terminal emulator program.
6. Press Enter.
You are prompted for a user name and password.
7. Enter the default user name and password. They are "manager" and
"friend" (without the quotes), respectively
Note
User names and passwords are case sensitive.
The local management session starts when the User Exec mode
prompt is displayed. Refer to Figure 65.
