Troubleshooting Methods
Possible Remedy
Check lamp wires
Replace the lamp and align the
new lamp
Check your line voltage output
Flush the entire system with
new solvent
Degas the solvent
Check that solvent level is not
too low
Apply back pressure at outlet or
connect a backpressure device
(P/N 0990-7126)
Degas the mobile phase.
Connect a backpressure valve
(P/N 0990-7126)
Bypass the column and pump
mobile phase at 5 mL/min (not
through the column) for 30 sec-
onds to dislodge air
Make a fresh sample, clean the
flowcell, then re-analyze
Flush/regenerate column
Check the flowcell and repair or
replace if necessary
Tighten the column outlet fit-
ting if necessary
Tighten the detector waste line
for crimping and replace if nec-
essary
