Optional Hardware and Software
The ozone output level of the generator is directly controllable by the user via the
front panel of the instrument or remotely via the analyzer's RS-232 Serial I/O
ports.
See Section 6.4 for instructions on setting the Output level of the ozone
generator.
See Section 6.8 & 6.9 for information on configuring this option and using the
Serial I/O ports.
See Appendix A.2 for a list of variables used to control this parameter.
See Section 6.7.4 for information on Calibrating the output of the O
Generator
The state of the Sample/Cal valve can also be controlled:
Manually via the analyzer's front panel;
By activating the instrument's AutoCal feature (See Section 7.6);
Remotely by using the External Digital I/O Control Inputs (See Section 6.8),
or;
Remotely via the RS-232/485 Serial I/O ports (See Section 6.10).

Generator Reference Detector (Option 53)

3
A reference detector can be installed into Model 400E Ozone Analyzers with IZS
Options that monitors the operating level of the IZS' ozone generator. The Detector
senses the intensity of the UV Lamp internal to the IZS generator and coverts this
into a DC Voltage. This voltage is used by the CPU as part of a feedback loop to
directly adjust the brightness of the lamp producing a more accurate and stable
ozone concentration.

5.6. RS232 Modem Cabling (Option 60)

This option consists of a cable constructed to allow the analyzer's RS-232 COM
Ports to be connected to the most common styles of modems (e.g. US Robotics
Sportster). It is terminated at one end with a db-9 female connector and at the
other end w ith a db-25pin male connector.

5.7. Multidrop, RS-232 (Option 62)

The Multidrop Option is used with the serial port to enable communications with
several instruments over a single RS-232 cable. Additional hardware is required
(available from the Factory) allowing multiple instruments to be connected to a
single Serial I/O port. Similar operation can be achieved by using the COM2 port
configured for RS-485.
The setup and instructions for use of this mode is covered in the T-API's Multidrop
Manual P/N 018420000.
