Configuring
RFC 1483
ONFIGURATION
The WAN Configuration page shows the parameters you can configure
for your wide area network (WAN). When you select a WAN protocol, the
WAN Configuration page will interactively change to display the fields
associated with the selected protocol.
If the DHCP Client Over WAN option is disabled, then the WAN
Configuration page that is displayed is shown in the following illustration.
This page displays additional fields for entering the local and remote
WAN IP addresses and WAN IP Mask address.
The following procedures describe how to configure (create) your WAN
settings for these RFC 1483 WAN Configurations:
RFC 1483 Dynamic Configuration
I
Use this configuration if your Service Provider is using dynamic IP
addressing.
RFC 1483 Static Configuration
I
Use this configuration if your Service Provider is using static IP
addressing. In this configuration, the use of DHCP is disabled.
