Home Wireless Gateway

User ID and Password

When configuring the Home Wireless Gateway using your browser, the
browser will ask for a user ID and password.
The default user name is: Admin
The Password field should be left blank (the default is no password).

RF Exposure Compliance Statement (U.S.)

CAUTION: The 3Com HomeConnect Home Wireless Gateway has
been certified as a mobile device as per FCC Section 2.1091. In order
to comply with the FCC RF exposure requirements, the 3Com
HomeConnect Home Wireless Gateway must only be installed with
approved antennas and a minimum separation distance of 20 cm (8 in)
must be maintained from the antenna to any nearby persons.

Potential RF Interference (Canada)

CAUTION: To prevent radio interference to the licensed service, this
device is intended to be operated indoors and away from windows to
provide maximum shielding. Equipment (or its transmit antenna) that is
installed outdoors is subject to licensing.

The current version of the Status screen displays all wired and wireless connections under one arrow labeled “Ethernet” rather than as separate connections. In addition, the Status screen displays the Ethernet connection as always connected (see figure below for example).
