Problems
Use the information in the following table to identify and resolve general
network connection problems.
Symptom Possible Cause
Remote IP network LAN or WAN
is not responding connection problem.
(ex., to PINGs or the
web browser
PC or workstation
connection
does not have the
requests).
OfficeConnect
Gateway listed as a
gateway.
Some remote sites use
the RIP protocol to
advertise your IP
address to other
routers. It may take
more than 30 seconds
for the IP route to the
OfficeConnect
Gateway to be
propagated
throughout the
remote network.

Corrective Action
See LAN Connection Problems
(page 12-5) and WAN Connection
Problems.(page 12-7).
Reconfigure the PC or
workstation to use the
OfficeConnect Gateway IP LAN
address as its gateway.
Wait 30 seconds and try to access
the remote site again.
