Video Signal Processing System
Recording System
HDSDI input
The HDSDI signal input from the SD/HDSDI INPUT connector is input into the connector (CN1) of the VPR-118 board
and equalized (IC200). Then, the serial/parallel conversion is performed by ROVO (IC300) to the signal is separated
into the video signal and audio signal and extracted.
The ANC data (LTC, VITC, UMID, essence mark) is read and sent to the HPR-55 board via the VPR-118 board.
The HD digital video signal sent to the HPR-55 board is sent to VAX (IC200) and then sent to LVIS (IC500) after various
detections for the input system are done.
At LVIS, the HD digital video signals are divided into the one that is sent to the ENC-158 board as the record signal
process system and the one that is returned to VAX again as the HD video output system of the E-E image.
The record signal sent to the ENC-158 board is encoded and compressed by the MPEG HD codec NATH (IC500) via
the NECO (IC200).
The digital encoded and compressed stream signal is sent to PIERe (IC1200) on the HPR-55 board to be written into
the PIERe SDRAM.
In addition, the signals are down-converted inside LVIS and divided into the one that is returned to VAX again as the
SD video output signal of the E-E image and the one for creating the proxy video data in LVIS. The encoded and
compressed proxy video data is sent to PIERe to be written into the PIERe SDRAM.
The record data written to the PIERe SDRAM is DMA-transferred from PIERe to the DDR memory on the CPU board
with the PCI-Express interface.
The record data that is DMA-transferred from the DDR memory on the CPU board is converted to SATA signal by the
PCIe/SATA Bridge IC (IC2701) on the HPR-55 board. Then the converted SATA signal is sent through the CN-3594
board to the IF-1240 board.
The record data is sent to optical drive via the SATA DRIVER IC (IC101) on the IF-1240 board and to be written into
the disc.
SDSDI input
The SDSDI signal input from the SD/HDSDI INPUT connector is input into the connector (CN1) of the VPR-118 board
and equalized (IC200). Then, the serial/parallel conversion is performed by ROVO (IC300).
The ANC data (LTC, VITC, UMID, essence mark) is read and sent to the HPR-55 board via the VPR-118 board.
The SD digital video signal sent to the HPR-55 board is sent to VAX (IC200), and is separated into the video signal and
audio signal and extracted after various detections for the input system are done. Then the SD digital video signal is
sent to LVIS (IC500).
When recording format is HD (HD422, HD420), the SD digital video signal is up-converted inside LVIS, and is divided
into the one that is sent to the ENC-158 board for the record signal process system and the one that is returned to VAX
again as the HD video output system of the E-E image.
The record signal is encoded and compressed by the MPEG HD codec NATH (IC500) via the NECO (IC200).
