SY-438 Board
Note
A serial number is stored in the FRAM (IC310) on the SY-438 board. After the board has been replaced, turn on the
serial number write enable switch S202-5 on the SY-438board and then set a serial number with the
NUMBER
(M31)".
Then turn off S202-5 on the SY-438 board.

CPU Board/HPR-55 Board
Note
The CPU board on the HPR-55 board retains date/time information. When replacing the CPU board, make date/time
settings using the Maintenance menu

Optical Block Assembly
Note
The ROM in the optical block assembly contains firmware. After replacing the optical block assembly, upgrade the
firmware to the latest version. (Refer to Section 3-3-5.)
After the optical block assembly has been replaced, make adjustments in the following procedure. (Refer to Section 7.)

TRK/TLT driver offset adjustment

BD-42 Board
The BD-42 board contains an EEPROM (IC709) in which error logger data and other data are stored. To retain the
EEPROM data, replace IC709 after this board has been replaced.
