MONITOR TEST 10- "Mains detect test", checks that the monitor r
izes when the mains is powering the unit or if it is under battery power. Thi
done by monitoring the LNEST line from the power supply.
MONIT0R TEST 11- "Probe error test", verifies that the monitor ret
nizes when a probe is installed. This is done by monitoring the STEED 1
STLED2 lines from IC23 on the 2288 analog board.
M0NIT0R TEST 12- NO LONGER IMPLEMENTED
MONIT0R TEST 13- "Analog Output Test", this enables adjustment
the analog output channels from their lowest value to their highest value,
test requires the use of the analog output module which attaches to the :
panel.
MONITOR TEST 14- "Eront End Calibrate", this test automatically
just the red and Ir AC channels for offset differences. This is done by turr
the front end EETs on which shorts the input stage to ground. Then for e
gain setting on each channel (red and Ir, each has 12) a value is written to
B portion of IC14 which in turn controls IC13 pin 7. This signal is summed \
the input signal at IC16 (pin 2) which is the input to the A portion of IC14
is configured as a gain DAC. Thus for each gain setting for each channel
correct offset must be written to the offset DAC to cancel any offset IC16 r
have.
MONIT0R TEST 15- "Vbat calibration", this test is done to program I
tery voltages into the eeprom on the analog board for battery monitoring [
poses. With the unit powered by an external DC supply in place of the batti
the supply is set to 10 VDC. The monitor reads this value and stores the
suit in memory, the same is done at 11.8 VDC. If the values read are wit
acceptable limits then the test passes.
