Service Manual: Model 515
Calibration and Adjustments:Production Test Soft
MONITOR TEST 04- "Real Time Clock test", This performs two
on the RTC. The first test checks the 50 bytes of internal RAM inside the 1
by writing a test byte to each location, then reading it back verifying that w
was written equals that which was read.
The second test sets the RTC to 23;59;57 Sat 31-Dec-58, then waits a
seconds and checks that the time is now 00:00:00 Sun l-Jan-59. NOTE: '
test would fail if the system clock oscillator or the RTC oscillator circuitry
inoperative. The correct time and date must be reprogrammed after rum
this test.
MONITOR TEST 05- "Audio Volume Test", this is a volume ram]
test, every 0.1 seconds a different volume setting is set to produce a dist
tive pinging sound when working correcdy.
MONITOR TEST 06- "Audio Frequency Test", the frequency sett
are ramped to produce an "arcade" game type sound.
MONITOR TEST 07- "Rs232 loopback Test", by placing the RS232
fixture on the rear panel 25 pin D connector the two RS232 communica
channels are checked by transmitting a signal and verifying it is received a
input (loopback).
MONITOR TEST 08- "Eeprom test", this test clears the eeprom (I(
on the 2288 board) and then writes a message into the eeprom. It then re
back the message and verified that it is the same as that written.
MONITOR TEST 09- "Anal. Front End Test", contains various
which monitor/check various front end functions.
Gain: The Gain DAC (IC14A) for each channel (red and Ir)can be {
grammed to any value through the use of the Inc Dec and Pset softkeys.
Offs: The Offset DAC (IC14B) for each channel (red and Ir)can be p
grammed to any value through the use of the Inc Dec and Pset softkeys.
Led: The LED drives can be varied for either channel (red or Ir) by
Inc and Dec softkeys, or the Ramp function can be selected where b
channels will ramp simultaneously.
Fets: Enables manual control over the front end FETs Q3, Q4, Q9, QIO.
Adc: Enables monitoring of each of the analog channels of ICll by i
of the Inc and Dec softkeys. The SATURATION% display indicates
channel being monitored while the PULSE RATE display indicates the c
rent value of that channel (0-255).
