Operational Tests:Operational Ch(
3.2.7 Simultaneously press the #2 softkey (second from the left) and the
POV
button.
Verify the monitor turns on and all the front panel segments and LEDs illu
nate, and an audible tone sounds for approximately 10 seconds. The mon
will then perform a self test and operate in normal mode.
NOTE: If the self test fails;
"SELF TEST FAILED"
will be displayed (error rr
sages and codes may accompany this), turn the monitor off and repeat
power up sequence, if it does not work record the error messages displa;
(reference section 8.0) and contact the Novametrix Service Department.

The monitor will then flash
"CONNECT 87XX PROBE".
Press the
AUDIO
k
and alert tone should sound, press and hold the
AUDIO
key until the L
flashes and the alert tone is off.

NEXT,
verify
"SET AUDIO FEATURES?"
pears, select
VOL.
Use the T and

softkeys to set the volume level to "C
(lowest level) then press
ENTER.

"SET DISP BRIGHTNESS"
is display

softkeys to vary the brightness from 03 to 01, \
ify 03 is the brightest with 01 being the dimmest. Press
ENTER.

verify
"SET ALERT LIMITS?"
appears, select
PULSE,
then sel
FIIGFI.
Use the T and
i
softkeys to change the high Pulse Rate limit, record 1
value. Press the
ENTER
softkey.

Turn the unit off by pressing the
POWER
key on the front panel. Turn the i:
back on and verify that the Pulse Rate high limit was saved.

Turn the monitor off. Plug the sensor into the monitor's input connector. Ti
the monitor on by pressing the front panel
POWER
key. The display will n
"PROBE OFF PATIENT"
or
"LIGHT INTERFERENCE".
