4.2.2 Attach the line cord and place the rear panel mains switch to the I posit
Verify that the front panel ~ LED illuminates. Remove the red lead from
battery, using a DVM check the voltage between the red and black battery
bles, verify +13.8 VDC ± 0.02 volts. Reconnect the red lead to the battery p
itive terminal.
4.2.3 Turn the monitor on by pressing the front panel
POWER
button.
4.2.4 Verify the unit powers up and passes the self test, then displays "CONNt
87xx
PROBE" while flashing an alert. Check that after a few seconds an a
tone sounds, press and hold the
AUDIO
key until the LED flashes and
alert tone stops.
4.2.5 Measure the following voltages, use the negative lead of the battery as re
ence.
FS5 on 2503 board (Vdd) +5.1 VDC ± 0.02
+VA21 (pin 4 of IC21 on 2288 board) +12.8 VDC ± 0.5
-VA21 (pin 11 oflC21 on 2288 board) -12.8 VDC+ 0.5
4.2.6 Using the rear panel ground connection as reference measure the voltage
pin 16 of 1C8 on the 2503 power supply board. Verify + 5 VDC ± 0.2 volts.

4.2.7 Place the mains power switch on the rear panel to the I position.
4.2.8 Simultaneously press the
POWER
and leftmost softkey, after the mon
beeps for the second time press and hold the #2 softkey (second from
right), verify that
"Novametrix
Inc.
Production Tests"
appears on the display.

Check pin 14 on ICG4 for +5.1 VDC ±0.02 v (VDD).
