The Infinity MCable – Nellcor OxiMax pulse oximeter with adult sensors has been validated in human
blood studies on healthy adult volunteers in induced hypoxia studies in the range of 70 to100 % SpO
against a laboratory co-oximeter and ECG monitor. This variation equals ±1 A
sured by a co-oximeter. Subjects were male (45%) and female (55%) between the ages of 19 and 48,
with skin pigmentation ranging from light to dark.
