Printing Problems
1
If a job did not print correct or incorrect characters were printed, check and try the actions below.
a) Before sending a job for printing, make sure the printer is in the Ready state.
b) Make sure that paper is loaded in the printer.
c) Make sure that you are using the correct printer driver.
d) Make sure that you are using the correct Ethernet or USB cables, and it is securely connected
to the back of the printer.
e) Make sure the paper size is correct.
f) If you are using the print spooler, make sure that the spooler is not stopped.
g) Check the printer interface to verify the host interface being used.Print the System Setting
Page to verify that the current interface settings are correct.
h) Output fonts cannot be printed correctly if the PCL driver is used in the default mode.To solve
this problem, use the PostScript driver instead of the PCL driver.

If print media mis feeds or multiple feeds occur, check and try the actions below.
a) Make sure that paper meets the specifications of the printer.
b) Before loading paper, flex it.
c) Load paper correctly.
d) Make sure that the width and length guides of the paper tray are correctly adjusted.
e) If paper is overfilled in the tray, reduce the amount of paper.
f) Load paper correctly so that the recommended print side of paper comes the actual print side.
g) Turn paper over or upside down, and retry printing to see if feeding improves.
h) Check the type of paper loaded in the paper tray. If several types of paper are mixed, refill only
one type of paper.
i) Refill a new stack of paper if several stacks of paper are loaded in the paper tray.
j) Remove the top and bottom sheets of the stack when loading paper.
k) Do not refill paper until the paper tray becomes empty.

If envelope mis feeds or multiple feeds occur, check and try the action below.
a) Remove the stack of envelopes from the manual feed tray.

If page breaks in unexpected places, check and try the action below.
a) On the System Setting menu, check [Job Time Out] and increase the value.

When a job is executed with a wrong paper tray or a wrong print media, check and try the action
below.
a) Check the [Paper Size] and [Paper Type] of the Tray Setting menu on the printer operator
panel and the printer driver.

If print media does not stack neatly in the output tray, check and try the action below.
a) Turn up the stack of paper in the paper tray or the multipurpose feeder.
