Changing the RSSI Squelch Sensitivity
Description
1. Press 'RSSI Thres' softkey.
2. Change to desired value.
Possible values:
0 dB up to 110 dB
Default value:
20 dB
The RSSI (received signal strength indication)
squelch mutes the audio output for reception
levels below the threshold.
Please note that RSSI squelch has to be en-
abled to have an effect on the audio output.
Superimposed over these manual settings is
an automatic process (in case AGC function is
switched on) which controls the preamplifier
gain depending on received signal strength to
prevent saturation of subsequent stages. The
manual settings are limits up to which the au-
tomatic process controls, i.e. for low signals
the attenuation /gain values apply; if the signal
is above a threshold it is further attenuated.
