Switching to prosthetic components
Each engaging position of the 4-Step Transducer corresponds to one prosthetic component (catch 1 = rest position,
catch 2 = System Electric Hand/System Electric Greifer, catch 3 = Electric Wrist Rotator, catch 4 = DynamicArm;
refer to Section 11.3).
The patient can select the desired component by pulling on the 4-Step Transducer and counting the engaging
noises. Afterwards, the patient releases the 4-Step Transducer and lets it go back to catch 1 (rest position).
Switching takes place and the prosthetic component can be controlled. After 5 seconds of muscle relaxation
(no electrode signal), automatic switch-back to the System Electric Hand/System Electric Greifer takes place.
2.) For patients with weak or no muscle signals. With Electric Wrist Rotator. Direct switching with 4-Step
Transducer.
