Cable control
NOTICE
Remove the pull cable. The cable control is to be
used for emergency operation only. For safety rea-
sons, it is not allowed to remove the cable!
Bring the forearm in neutral position (no outward or in-
ward rotation). Affix the cord guide to the socket with
cap screws (centred in relation to strap clamp and at
a distance of at least 30 mm to lamination ring).
16
Test inward and outward rotation of the socket up to
the stop. Ensure that the pull cable cannot be ten-
sioned (loop!).
17
Adjusting
NOTICE
Fastening screws. There are fastening screws un-
der the cover caps. If they are removed the structural
integrity can be lost.
Never remove the covers and screws below (arrows)!
18
The level of compensation (flexion assistance) can
be adjusted and adapted to the weight of different
clothing with the AFB dial. Adjustments are easier to
make when the forearm is flexed!
The mechanism is protected by a slip coupling.
The hydrodynamic damper of the AFB mechanism is
adjusted to counterbalance the weight of the forearm
plus terminal device and electric wrist. Please be sure
to stabilize the humeral section of the prosthesis while
testing the joint functions.
