3 Setting up functions
3.4 Fault services
3.4.3 Machine triggers, server triggers and conditions
Function description, conditions
For triggers, a distinction is made between conditions and triggers.
Conditions are the preconditions in order that a trigger is initiated. The condi-
tion must be available before the trigger signal or at the latest at the same
time. If a condition is missing, then the trigger signal does not execute the
control monitor. If the condition comes after the trigger signal, then the control
monitor is not executed.
Triggers executes the control monitor if the conditions are available at the in-
stant in time that the trigger is fulfilled.
For pure machine triggers, the states of the signals are the logic operation of the
trigger precisely in the cycle with the somewhat scattered query of the conditions.
