INSPECT FOR
Cracks, distortion, chipping,
damaged lever seats, pitted or
rough holes.
Worn seal surfaces (tubes).
Rough or uneven floating valve
seat.
Open passages and flow holes.
Cracks, deformation, t e a r s ,
and heavy wear.
Deterioration of r u b b e r
or
warped valve face.
Air valve: scratches, dents,
distortion, or corrosion of I.Dt
or O.D. All seats to be smooth
and free of nicks and dents.
Push rod must move freely in
air valve, but must not pull out.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Cleanup or replace.
Replace.
Clean.
Replace.
Replace.
Do not repair; replace.
If worn, replace air valve-
push rod assembly.
