STEP 2

Ignition OFF

Check and confirm the proper
function of fuse EF7 in engine
compartment fuse box
Fuel metering unit wiring
harness connector
DISCONNECTED
Ignition ON
Check the voltage between
between pin 1 of fuel metering
unit wiring harness connector
and battery ground
STEP 3
Ignition OFF
Fuel metering unit wiring
harness connector
DISCONNECTED
EMS ECU wiring harness

connector DISCONNECTED

Check the resistance between

pin 2 of fuel metering unit
wiring harness connector and
pin 89 of the EMS ECU wiring
harness connector
Suspect fuel metering unit
internal failure
Replace fuel pump with a new
one.
Check and verify for any new
DTC's

Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Verify if P0001 is present?
YES Is P0001 present?
YES Is the value =Vbat?
YES Is the value < 1Ω?

Examine the open/short to
ground of fuel metering unit
power supply wire from main
relay
Repair/Replace the wiring
harness
Check and verify for any new

Repair/replace the wiring
harness
Clear the DTC and verify
