DIAGNOSTIC MANUAL
CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR
The Hall Effect camshaft position sensor senses the Top dead center (TDC) point of the # 1 cylinder in the
compression stroke. Which allows the ECU to determine when to start the injection. The trigger is
mounted in the exhaust camshaft

EMS
P1341 - Camshaft sensor signal offset error
During engine starting, the EMS ECU compares the crankshaft sensor signal
and cam shaft position sensor signal and the deviation is within the range
The cam shaft position sensor and crankshaft speed sensor are not
synchronized
Increased air gap between cam shaft position sensor and the trigger wheel
Increased air gap between crank shaft speed sensor and the trigger wheel
Sensor mountings loosened
Timing disturbed
System Check lamp ON
Engine will not start.
If this failure occurs when the engine is running then engine will keep on
running
