Ignition OFF
Clutch sensor wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
Ignition ON
Check the voltage between pin
4 of the clutch sensor wiring
harness connector and battery
ground
STEP 3
Ignition OFF
EMS ECU wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
Clutch sensor wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
Check the resistance between
pin 1 of the clutch sensor wiring
harness connector and pin 23 of
the EMS ECU wiring harness
connector
Check the resistance between
pin 2 of the clutch sensor wiring
harness connector and pin 41 of
the EMS ECU wiring harness
connector
Go to STEP 4

Turn the ignition ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Verify if P0704 is present?
Is P0704 present?
YES
Is the value =5 ±0.25
YES
Is the value < 1Ω?
EMS

Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure

Examine the open /short circuit
in clutch sensor power supply
wire
Repair/replace the wiring
harness
Clear the DTC and verify
If the DTC still exists suspect
EMS ECU.
Replace the EMS ECU with a
new one
NO
Examine the open circuit in
clutch sensor signal wires to
EMS ECU
Repair/replace the wiring
harness
Clear the DTC and verify
