The gear neutral sensor is a inductive based sensor. It is mounted on the transaxle and detects the
movement of the of the shift sleeve through which it provides gear neutral position information

P1704 - Gear Neutral Signal is not plausible
During ignition ON, on every gear change the gear lever passes through the
neutral position and a level transition in gear neutral signal .
The clutch signals are received every time a gear change is detected
Gear change detected without transition in gear neutral sensor signal
Loosened gear neutral sensor
Open /short wiring harness
Faulty gear neutral sensor
No lamp indication
Stop start system will not work
No updation of neutral position in instrument cluster
Ignition OFF/ON
