Ignition OFF
HFM sensor wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
Ignition ON
Check the voltage between pin
3 of the HFM sensor wiring
harness connector and battery
ground
STEP 3
Ignition OFF
HFM sensor wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
Check the resistance between
pin 5 of the HFM sensor wiring
harness connector and battery
ground
STEP 4
Ignition OFF
HFM sensor wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
EMS ECU wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
Check the resistance between
pin 5 of the HFM sensor wiring
harness connector and pin 31 of
the EMS ECU wiring harness
connector
NO
Go to STEP 5

Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Verify if P0102 is present?
YES Is P0102 present?
YES
Is the value = Vbat?
YES
Is the value =∞Ω?
Is the value < 1Ω?

Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure

Examine the short to ground /
open circuit of HFM sensor
power supply wire
Repair/replace the wiring
harness
Clear the DTC and verify

Repair/replace the wiring
harness
Clear the DTC and verify

Examine the open circuit of of
HFM sensor air mass signal wire
Repair/replace the wiring
harness
