CRANKSHAFT SPEED SENSOR
The crankshaft speed sensor is an inductive type sensor. It is mounted on front LH bottom side of the
engine and measures the speed of the trigger wheel mounted on the crankshaft

EMS
P0336 - Crankshaft sensor signal error
During engine cranking and running, the EMS ECU receives the output signal
from crankshaft speed sensor and is within the range
Normal signal pattern has not been input from the crankshaft speed sensor for
4 sec. (Engine should be cranked to check this error).
Disturbed signal form
Increased air gap between crankshaft speed sensor and the trigger wheel
Trigger wheel damaged/mounting loosened
Sensor mounting loosened
EMI noise
Open crankshaft speed sensor circuit
System Check lamp ON
Engine will not start.
If this failure occurs when the engine is running then engine shuts off
Ignition OFF/ON
