DIAGNOSTIC MANUAL
BRAKE SIGNAL
The main and redundant brake signals are received from the brake switch to EMS ECU . They are
mutually and individually checked for plausibility.

P0504 - Brake Signal plausibility error.
During ignition ON, the brake switch outputs a voltage which corresponds to
the brake position and is within the range.
Main brake signal is ON and redundant signal is OFF and vice versa
The brake switch output remains same in spite of brake pressed or not pressed
The main and redundant switch status remains same
Open /short wiring harness
Improper brake switch adjustment
Faulty brake switch
No lamp indication
Accelerator plausibility error detection stopped.
Under braking condition detection stopped
ABS/ESP malfunctioning
Ignition OFF/ON
