• When the cleaning liquid cartridge is not
enabled, the cap is not automatically
filled with cleaning solution.
Open the front cover and fill the cap with
the maintenance cleaning solution using
a dropper.
After filling up the cleaning solution, per-
form operations from step 10.

front cover and check the amount of
cleaning solution in the cap.
• If the cap is not full of cleaning solution,
use the dropper to fill up the cap with
cleaning solution until it is almost over-
flowing from the cap.

Cleaning the Ink Discharge Passage

In order to prevent ink clogging due to coagulation inside
the ink discharge passage, clean the ink discharge
passage periodically.
• Before cleaning the ink discharge path, be sure to
check that the cleaning cartridge is set.
If the cleaning cartridge is not set, it is necessary
to fill the cleaning solution manually.
