1.2 Unpacking the Leak Detector

The following items are included in the shipment:
Agilent Technologies Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detectors Operations Manual
Agilent Technologies leak detector configured and completely assembled as ordered
All necessary power cords, as ordered
Pump manuals (for the purchased configuration)
Any optional equipment ordered
Any manuals for optional equipment purchased

1.2.2 Unpacking, Initial Startup, High Pressure Test Setup, and Shutdown

1.2.2.1 Unpacking
1. Remove from Skid
1. Take the entire skid and box to an open area. Remove the shipping straps and pull the
cardboard box straight up, over the leak detector. Save the box and the skid in case you
need to do a return shipment (Figure 1-3).
2. Examine the leak detector for damage (whether a mobile unit with cart and wheels,
portable, or benchtop), and remove the remaining shipping straps and top plastic
shower cap cover (Figure 1-4).

two people. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE),
including gloves, boots, and a weight belt to avoid injury.
