ACL Configurations

To configure ACL Binding, follow these steps:
1) Create an ACL and configure the rules.
2) Bind the ACL to a port or VLAN.
To configure Policy Binding, follow these steps:
1) Create an ACL and configure the rules.
2) Create a Policy and configure the policy action.
3) Bind the Policy to a port or VLAN.
Configuration Guidelines
 A packet "matches" an ACL rule when it meets the rule's matching criteria, no matter
the operation to be performed is "permit"or "deny".
 If no ACL rule is configured or no matching rule is found, the packets will be forwarded
without being processed by the ACL.

Using the GUI
2.1.1 Creating an ACL
You can create different types of ACL and define the rules based on source MAC or IP
address, destination MAC or IP address, protocol type and so on.
MAC ACL: MAC ACL uses source and destination MAC addresses for matching operations.
Standard-IP ACL: Standard-IP ACL uses source and destination IP addresses for matching
operations.
Extended-IP ACL: Extended-IP ACL uses source and destination IP addresses, IP
protocols and so on for matching operations.
IPv6 ACL: IPv6 ACL uses source and destination IPv6 address for matching operations.
