    The HUAWEI 9000 HD video terminal series (HUAWEI 9000 for short) is a series of new- generation HD video terminals provided by Huawei. The HUAWEI 9000 adopts advanced videoconferencing technologies to provide HD video and high-fidelity (hi-fi) audio.
  • Page 15 1080p (1920 × 1080 pixels and progressive scanning) 1080i (1920 × 1080 pixels and interlaced scanning) H.239 Dual-Stream The HUAWEI 9000 complies with the H.239 standard and supports concurrent video transmission using two channels. A presentation can either be a video or computer desktop content.

    The user interface provides rich operation hints and statistics. Network The maximum call bandwidth is 8 Mbit/s. The HUAWEI 9000 supports Internet Protocol (IP), E1, 4E1, and public switched telephone network (PSTN) networks. The HUAWEI 9000 supports error concealment and lost packet recovery.

With the following cable connection, the terminal outputs HD video and uses the local area network (LAN) for communications. An HD camera is used for HD video input and a microphone array is used for audio input.

    The terminal can be woken up by performing any operation on the terminal. For example, the terminal wakes up if there is an incoming call, an operation is performed on the remote control, or the terminal is connected to the Web interface.     To use the terminal for video communications over a 3G network, a 3G data card must be inserted into a USB port of the terminal. Always use designated Huawei 3G data cards for the terminal. To enable the terminal to support 3G data cards, purchase a corresponding license that has the media access control (MAC) address and sequence number (SN) of the terminal.

    If the data card is not a designated Huawei data card, the terminal fails to detect it, and a message appears on the screen indicating that no data card is available.

    The microphone array can work with the HUAWEI 9000 HD terminal series. Each terminal can support the cascading of up to three VPM210s. When two or three VPM210s are cascaded, one functions as the primary microphone array and the others as the secondary microphone arrays.
  • Page 76 VPM210 cannot be well picked up; cascading VPM210s can help to solve this problem. Dynamically cascading, connecting, or disconnecting VPM210s does not interrupt conferences.
