Configuring a Network Address Book Stored on an LDAP Server
After the parameters for communications with the LDAP server are set correctly, the terminal
can access the LDAP server over LDAP and then search for desired sites to participate in a
conference.
Procedure
Step 1 Choose Settings > Network > Network Address Book > LDAP Server, and then set the
parameters listed in
Table 5-11 Parameters of the directory server

Searching for and Saving Records in an LDAP Network Address Book
From the terminal, you can search for and then save information in an LDAP network address
book.
After the LDAP server parameters are set, the terminal can communicate with the LDAP server
properly. From the Address Book screen, select LDAP Address Book, and then search for

Description
This specifies the LDAP server address.
This specifies the port used to connect to the LDAP server.
This specifies the top-layer LDAP directory where the search starts.
This specifies the LDAP server authentication type. You can select
between General, Secured, and Anonymous.
After this function is enabled, data streams sent to and received from the
LDAP server are encrypted.
This specifies the user name used for LDAP server authentication.
This specifies the password used for LDAP server authentication.
This specifies the domain name used for LDAP server authentication.
When this function is enabled, the terminal regularly updates the LDAP
Address Book entries in its local address book.
This specifies the interval for updating the LDAP Address Book entries
in the local address book.
When this function is enabled, if certain records in the local address book
are duplicates of the relevant records on the LDAP server, the records in
the local address book remain unchanged after the local address book is
updated.
