7.1 Adjusting the Display Effects of the Video
You can adjust the display effects of video by adjusting local video effects (such as the brightness
and the saturation), the picture offset, the sampling phase, and by setting the HUAWEI VPC500/
VPC520 (VPC500/VPC520 for short) parameters.
7.1.1 Adjusting the Local Video Effects
To configure local video effects, set the corresponding parameters as required, for example the
brightness, contrast, and saturation.
Prerequisites
Local video effects can be adjusted only when the local video is input from an SD interface.
Procedure
Step 1 Choose Settings > Display > Video Parameters.
Step 2 Select a SD interface such as SD IN 1 from the Input interface drop-down list, and then set the
parameters listed in
Table 7-1 Parameters of video effects

7.1.2 Adjusting the Picture Offset
When a picture on the monitor deviates from its normal position, adjust the picture offset.

Description
Adjusts the video output level to brighten or darken the video displayed on
a monitor.
Adjusts color levels to facilitate the distinction between two colors. The
higher the contrast, the greater the degree of difference between light and
dark extremes of color.
Adjusts the grayscale of each color. The higher the saturation, the brighter
a color.
The terminal adjusts the video effects based on the set Room light, thus
improving the video quality.
Set this parameter based on the brightness of a room and the display effects
of the camera.
l If the room is bright and the local video looks pale, set this parameter to
Bright.
l If the room is dim and the local video looks dark, set this parameter to
Dark.
