Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.

User Guidelines
The SNTP authentication parameter is an MD5 checksum sent to the NTP
server. The key index identified in the sntp server command should be
configured with the sntp authentication-key command.
Example
The following example configures the device to accept Simple Network Time
Protocol (SNTP) traffic from the server at IP address 192.1.1.1.
console(config)# sntp server 192.1.1.1

sntp source-interface

Use the sntp source-interface command to select the interface from which to
use the IP address in the source IP address field of transmitted SNTP packets.
Use the no form of the command to revert to the default IP address.
Syntax
sntp source-interface {loopback loopback-id | vlan vlan-id}
no sntp source-interface
loopback-id — A loopback interface identifier.
vlan-id — A VLAN identifier.
Default Configuration
By default, the switch uses the assigned switch IP address as the source IP
address for SNTP packets. This is either the IP address assigned to the VLAN
from which the SNTP packet originates or the out-of-band interface IP
address.
