NOTE
• Perform the operation check after all toner cartridges and imaging units have been removed.
• Any component does not operate in the event of jam or when a cover is open.
• When making the developing motor or the registration clutch driven, be sure to install the waste toner bottle.

(2) Procedure

1. Call [SERVICE MODE] to the display.
2. Select [STATE] -> [COMPONENT CHECK].
3. Select the electrical component of which operation is checked.
4. Select [START], and press the Menu/Select key.
The corresponding component starts to operate.
5. If the component is the one which can be stopped during its operation, you can select [STOP] to stop the operation.
NOTE
• When the COMPONENT CHECK function has been executed, turn OFF the power switch and reboot the machine.

3.10 BK CLEAR

3.11 FIRMWARE UPDATE

3.11.1 Use

• To display the firmware information stored in the USB memory device.
3.11.2 Procedure
1. Set the USB memory device.
2. Call [SERVICE MODE] to the display.
3. Select [FIRMWARE UPDATE] and press the Menu/Select key.
4. Select the specific type of firmware data to be upgraded and press the Menu/Select key.

3.12 LOADABLE DRV.

3.12.1 Use
• To display information relating to loadable drivers downloaded in the machine.
• To delete a loadable driver downloaded in the machine.
3.12.2 Procedure
1. Call [SERVICE MODE] to the display.
2. Select [LOADABLE DRV.] and press the Menu/Select key.
3. The loadable driver information appears.
4. To delete the loadable driver, select [DELETE] and press the Menu/Select key.
5. On the screen that confirms deletion of the loadable driver, select [YES] and press the Menu/Select key.
6. Turn OFF and ON the power switch to restart the machine.
