9.3 Operation

9.3.1 Paper lift plate mechanism

• The paper lift plate will be locked under the paper lift plate lock lever by pressing it down (in which the paper is loaded in position).
• The manual tray paper feed clutch causes the feed roller shaft to rotate, which causes the paper lift plate lock lever to follow the motion to
thereby release the paper lift plate.
• The paper lift plate (paper stack) is pressed against the feed roller.
