Be sure to note that the volume delivered by a peristaltic pump
can be influenced by a number of factors other than those dis-
cussed above. Thus, even with the sophistication of the
sample-volume measuring functions of the 3700, the volume of
sample deposited in the sample bottle may vary from the pro-
grammed value. The repeatability of a sample volume from
sample-to-sample (which normally is the most important consid-
eration) is typically within the ± 10 ml specification.
