12. When the paper wdth detecton (Meda Detect) s set to "on", rasng the Meda Set Lever leads to the
followng dsplay on the LCD and swtches to the paper wdth detecton mode.

Press the [ENTER] key to perform the paper wdth detecton and to store the poston where the paper s
currently set and the paper wdth on the prnter.
Press the [ESC] key to cancel the paper wdth detecton. In ths case, the value whch was acqured by the
mmedately prevous paper wdth detecton has been stored on the prnter.
When the power of the prnter s off, turnng on the power whle the paper wdth detecton (Meda Detect)
s set to "ON", and the set lever s rased (the push roller s lowered), the prnter turns to the paper wdth
detecton mode. (See "3.5 Detectng the paper wdth and the poston where the paper s set" descrbed
later for how to set the paper wdth detecton).
