9.6 Handling of the printer which has been turned off for a while
Before usng a prnter whch has been turned off for a whle (two weeks or longer), use the followng steps to
refill the ink.
Moistening the Cleaning Roller with Ink Cleaning Solution
If the Cleaning Roller is significantly hardened, it is recommended to replace it with a new one.
See "9.2 Replacng the Cleanng Roller" descrbed above for detals.
Removal of Ink Cleaning Solution
1. Remove all the Ink Cleanng Soluton cartrdges from the prnter, and turn on the power.
2. Move the Prnthead Carrage to the PH Mantenance Poston.
Select [3.Cleanng Tool] from the man menu by usng [▲▼] (Up/Down) keys, and press the [ENTER] key.

Select [3.PH Mantenance] from the sub menu by usng [▲▼] (Up/Down) keys, and press the [ENTER]
key.

3. Referrng to the attached "Setup Gude", remove all the Ink Cleanng Soluton from the tubes whch connect
the nk cartrdges and the prntheads.

Filling ink

1. Referring to the attached "Setup Guide", fill the tubes which connect the ink cartridges and the printheads
wth nk.
2. Performs the Jam Test to check the condition of the nozzles.
Select [2.Jam Test] from the sub menu by usng [▲▼] (Up/Down) keys, and press the [ENTER] key.

If the condition identified by the Jam Test is not appropriate, perform the head cleaning again.
