And consult a doctor mmedately. ■ Precautions to observe when removing jammed paper When removng paper that has become jammed nsde the prnter, take care not to get nk from the paper on your clothng or hands. There s a possblty of nk adherng to your clothng or hands. ■ Precautions to Note When Unpacking the Printer If the printer was stored in a location where the temperature dropped below 10°C, allow sufficient time for the printer to become acclimatized to room temperature (the operating environment specification is the range from 20°C to 28°C) before mounting the print heads.

  • Page 26 Main Parts Name Functons LCD Control Panel Confirmation of the printer status and various settings can be performed with ths panel. Prnt Carrage Ths part moves the prntheads. Waste Ink Tank These tanks store waste nk whch s dscharged durng the ntal pourng of nk or recovery procedures of the prntheads. One s nstalled at the man cleanng poston, and the other one s nstalled at the PH Mantenance poston. Heatng board Ths board warms up meda to an approprate temperature for better prntng qualty. Dryer unt Ths unt s used to accelerate dryng of nk after prntng. Meda Take-up Roller Ths roller takes up the meda after prntng. It s used for prntng on a long pece of paper. Meda Feedng Roller Ths roller s used to set meda (roll paper). Meda Take-up Sensor Ths sensor detects the meda after prntng. After the prnted meda reaches a certan length, the Meda Take-up Roller starts takng up the meda. Left flange This part fixes the media (roll paper) onto the roller.

    LCD Control Panel LCD Display Name Functons ONLINE Key This key switches online/offline. Press this key for several seconds to pause prntng. ESC Key Ths key cancels the current job, and returns the menu dsplay to one poston above. FUNC Key FUNC button - Ths button swtches functons of ths prnter. Press the [FUNC] key + [ ] key smultaneously to execute test prnt when no prntng s performed. ENTER Key This key confirms the selection of an item or the setting of a value.

Set the paper correctly around the Rubber Roller and the Meda Tenson Bar as shown n the photos. 8. Insert the paper from the rear of the prnter body.     How to set the roll paper on a paper core When you use the Media Take-up unit, fix the paper securely on a paper core by using tape. 1. Referrng to the above-mentoned method to set the roll paper, pull the paper out untl t reaches the paper core on the Meda Take-up unt. Pulling out the paper media 2. (In ths case, the mmedately precedng set value remans as the current set value) Press the [ENTER] key to start the paper wdth detecton. When the sensor successfully completes the paper wdth detecton, the LCD dsplays "OK", and the poston of the paper and the paper wdth are stored.     Checking the waste ink bottles Check if the waste ink bottles are full. If they are full, transfer the waste fluid into an appropriate container to empty them. Check for interfusion of air (air bubbles) in the printhead tubes After a long-term use, the gradual mxture of ar nto tubes may occur. If nlet tubes and outlet tubes connected to the printheads have been interfused with a significant amount of air, printing under such a condition may lead to a degradaton of prntng qualty or troubles durng prntng. Check the nlet tubes and outlet tubes everyday before startng prntng, and remove the ar f nterfuson s detected accordng to the followng steps.
