Candela di accensione
La candela è "NGK"C7E o "CHAMPION" G59C, la distanza fra gli elettrodi deve
essere di: 0,6 ÷ 0,7 mm.
Pulire lo sporco intorno alla base della candela prima di rimuoverla.
E' utile esaminare lo stato della candela, subito dopo averla tolta dalla sua sede,
poichè i depositi e la colorazione dell'isolante forniscono utili indicazioni sul grado
termico della candela, sulla carburazione, sull'accensione e sullo stato generale del
motore.
Prima di procedere al rimontaggio della candela, eseguire una accurata pulizia
degli elettrodi e dell'isolante usando uno spazzolino metallico.
Applicare un grasso grafitato sul filetto della candela e avvitarla a mano fino in
fondo, quindi con una chiave appropriata serrarla alla coppia di serraggio
prescritta.
La candela che presenti screpolature sull'isolante o che abbia gli elettrodi corrosi,
deve essere sostituita.
Spark plug
Use "NGK" C7E or "CHAMPION" G59C spark plugs; the spark plug gap is
0.00236 ÷ 0.0275 in.
Clean the dirt away from the base of the spark plug before removing it from the
cylinder.
It is very useful to examine the state of the spark plug just after it has been removed
from the engine since the deposits on the plug and the colour of the insulator provide
useful indications concerning the heat rating of the plug, carburation, ignition and
general engine condition.
Before refitting the plug, thoroughly clean the electrodes and insulator using a brass-
metal brush.
Apply a little graphite grease to the plug thread; fit and screw the plug home by hand
and then tighten to the correct torque using a plug spanner.
Plugs which have cracked insulators or corroded electrodes should be replaced.
