Ribbon Protector Assembly

1. Open the printer access cover.
2. Remove the ribbon cartridge.
3. Set the head gap adjusting lever to the range '9' position.
4. Lift and remove the ribbon guide from the two posts.
5. Remove the two mounting screws (1) and detach the ribbon protector (2) by lifting.
