The printer is capable of emulating the IBM Proprinter or the Epson FX printers. The Pacemark 3410 comes standard with both an RS232-C Serial Interface and a Centronics Parallel Interface.

The desired interface method is selected by sliding the interface cover to expose the desired connector. When this is done, the interface select switch is turned ON or OFF to inform the Interface/Motor Control LSI (Q5: B562 13497) of the selected interface.
