3.18 Head Cleaning

3.18.1 Function Description
This function cleans the heads in the FDD by executing a series of head load/seek and read
operations. A cleaning kit is required to perform this function.
3.18.2 Operations
Select 4 (Head Cleaning) from the DIAGNOSTICS MENU and press Enter

to display the following messages:
DIAGNOSTICS - FLOPPY DISK HEAD CLEANING : VX.XX
Mount cleaning disk(s) on drive(s).
Press any key when ready.
2. Remove the Diagnostics Disk from the FDD, insert the cleaning disk, and
press Enter .
3. When the "cleaning start" message appears, the FDD head cleaning has
begun.
4. The display automatically returns to the DIAGNOSTICS MENU when the
program is completed.
