4.10.1 Configuring a Bridge

Use the
Bridge
To configure the MSTP bridge:
1. Select
Network
2. Select the
Bridge
3. Refer to the MSTP Parameter field to view or set the following:
Global MSTP Status
Max Hop Count
Supported Versions
Protocol Version
MST Config. Name
MST Revision Level
tab to configure the Bridge. This window displays bridge configuration details for the switch.

Use the drop-down menu to define MSTP status. The default is Enabled.
Displays the maximum allowed hops for a BPDU (Bridge Protocol Data Unit) in an
MST region. This value is used by all the MST instances.

Use the drop-down menu to select one of the following options available MST
protocol options:
forceNonStp
forceLegacyDot1d
forceDot1w
autoDot1s
unknown
Enter a name for the MST instance. Each switch running MST is configured with a
unique MST name. This helps when the switch has different VLANs that belong to
different MST regions.
Assign a MST revision level number to the MST region to which the device belongs.

regions. The MST Revision Level specifies the revision level MSTP.
