Replacing the fixing roller /U,
ball bearing /U and the heat
insulating sleeve /U
A. Periodically replaced parts/cycle
• Fixing roller /U: Every 100,000 copies
• Heat insulating sleeve /U: Every 600,000 copies
• Ball bearing /U: Every 600,000 copies
B. Procedure
1. Remove the fixing unit.
2. Remove 3 screws [1] and remove the fixing unit
upper cover.
Note:
• When removing the fixing unit upper cover,
raise it up without tilting it to avoid damage to
the fixing roller /U.
3. Remove the fixing upper heater lamps /1 and /2.
