ÿ Automatic stop of gasoline engine
The gasoline engine automatically starts and stops according to the vehicle state.
However, it may not stop automatically in the following situations.
• Gasoline engine warming up
• When charging the driving battery
When the temperature of the drive battery is high or low
• When the heater is on
ÿ Charging the drive battery
The driving battery is charged by the power of the gasoline engine and regenerative braking, so
charging from outside the vehicle is not necessary. However, if the vehicle is left for a long
period of time, the battery will gradually discharge. So at least once every 2-3 months, drive for
about 30 minutes or 16km. In the
unlikely event that the drive battery is completely discharged and the hybrid system cannot be
started, please contact your Toyota dealer.
ÿ Charging the auxiliary battery
ÿ P.536
ÿ After the auxiliary battery is dead, or when the terminal is attached or detached for replacement, etc.
The automatic stop of the gasoline engine may not be performed. If
the automatic stop does not stop for a few days, please contact your Toyota dealer.
