caveat
ÿ When turning off TRC or VSC
TRC and VSC are systems that try to ensure driving force and directional stability of the
vehicle. Therefore, do not deactivate the TRC and VSC functions unless necessary. When
the TRC or VSC is deactivated, drive at a speed that is appropriate for the road surface
conditions, and be especially careful when driving.
ÿ When changing tires
Use tires of the same manufacturer, brand, and tread pattern (groove patterns) of the
specified size for all four wheels, and inflate to the recommended pressure. (ÿ P.
554) ABS, TRC, and VSC will not work properly if different tires are installed. When
replacing tires or wheels, consult your Toyota dealer.
ÿ Handling of tires and suspension
Using defective tires or modifying the suspension can adversely affect the driving
assistance systems and may lead to system failure.
